Hypocrites we are all

Today, somebody asked to add me on GTalk. Why? I should have guessed better, why suddenly, out of the blue, after having requested for his contacts before but got no reply, someone would want to add me? As it turns out, it was to ask me about the car I'm selling. And even with the skin to ask me with a laugh why I've had unhappy memories associated with his club members using my car, which I bought for them. Of course this person needs a car now, because he has a girlfriend to take out and about. Whereas before all he knew about the car was "the one the ____ (club members) used?".

I suppose we are all hypocrites. We only bother to converse with those we have a motive on. Judge not others you may say, but I am not a pharisee, for I myself am contemptuous in the sight of others and my own. Hence there is no point trying anymore. Just MYOB and fend for yourself. Selfish you may say? Pharisee are you not, for since when were you or I the most unselfish persons on the planet?

Car for sale, all proceeds to missions, then I would have washed my hands of the memories and the stench of this possession and the interactions that are associated with it. Then I would have rid myself of some of the stench of the person who owns it. Myself.
